The property market is still proving to be buoyant. The added benefit of the new Goverment incentive of five percent deposit for first time buyers on all new build properties, is great news for new build developers!  

However, along with this came the change in legislation to protect buyers. You  may be thinking what legislation? New home buyers have now got added protection due to complaints that completions on new build properties were taking place and the property wasn’t finished to the standard expected or even not finished at all. 

The legislation also implemented a 28 day cooling off period, meaning from the date of the signed reservation form the buyers have the right to change their mind, plus receive a full refund. 

The legislation has also changed the guidelines to what documentation developers are required to use and the content within it. Is your current  paperwork compliant and up to date?
